How Do You Perceive Problems Life Throws At You?

Problems Life Throws At You: Is your life perfect? Do you have everything you ever wanted? Are there no problems in your life? Well if your answer to any of the above questions is yes then this article is not for you.

Problems life throws at you

We come across situations sometimes in life where we face problems after problems. Bad news is that problems come in different shapes and sizes and colors and feelings and situations. Good news is that ALL problems life throws at you can be solved. If you know what you need to do it really is not that difficult to deal with problems. The reason we get stuck is how we relate to those problems and  that we attempt to solve those that cannot be solved.

In fact, we could say that there is no problem actually; it is our perception of the situation that makes it a problem. There are just unexpected events, surprises, and happenstances. There is no problem but in our minds! If you stop and think for a moment, you will see that problems are the fruit of our perception.

Anais Nin  said, “We see the world, not as it is, but as we are.”

Here’s a short story to help you remember that Often the most obvious is the solution. It is important to recognize:

The Locked Door

The mysterious door

Once upon a time there was a king of a great empire who cared about the welfare of his people.

His closest and wise advisor had been by his father’s side for many years. When he was getting old , he asked the king to look for a successor at an early stage in order to be able to introduce him.

All those who were distinguished by their great education and knowledge called in the court. The king was very pleased with the wise spirit of the aspirants. Yet there seemed to be something crucial missing from everyone.

The king’s adviser recognized the problem and quickly set up a selection process.

Each candidate was given a bunch of over a hundred keys. The task to be solved was to open a mighty iron-studded door on the first attempt!

Weeks passed and thousands tried in vain to open this door.

One day a traveler heard about the mysterious door that no one had found the right key for. So he wanted to try his hand at this door too. He examined the lock, the keys and the entire door carefully.

With a simple grip he pressed the handle down, and the door opened immediately because it was not locked.

The king said happily:

“You face challenges without being misled and you don’t rely on what you hear, but trust your mind and your feelings! You should be my new advisor! “

You must approach problems and disappointments as just challenges. Approach them with positive determination to overcome them. To possess that positive determination, you must look and see clearly beyond the problem. Be inspired by the hope beyond the problem and you will be determined to go beyond your problems.

Your finest moments will most likely occur when you face your greatest challenges, obstacles, and problems. Amid discomfort and disappointment you will reveal that you are stronger, more determined, more flexible, innovative and creative than any difficult circumstance you encounter. Go forward despite the problems, be inspired beyond the problem, and prove who you are.

Quote of the week,

Sometimes problems don’t require a solution to solve them; instead they require maturity to outgrow them.” Steve Maraboli

Great lessons in this post, especially now during difficult times. When I get too caught up in the negativity of having problems, I try to remind myself it’s about the journey. After all, growth doesn’t happen without some degree of challenge!
